We are living in an era where AI is the undisputed center of gravity, both inside and outside the workplace. Rather than seeing infinite possibilities, many are paralyzed by the fear that their jobs might disappear. This shift is more radical and aggressive than the Industrial Revolution that sparked the Luddite movement; in that light, the current level of anxiety seems almost modest. After all, a career is a matter of survival.

However, I believe the reason Iron Man could provide such distinct value to the world was his union with an actual human being—Tony Stark—unlike a mere robot. This is why I chose “Proof That Tony Stark Has a Heart” as the featured image for my first post.

We have hearts. We have warmth. I believe that the uniquely human trait of enduring the finitude of life and navigating unstable emotions will inevitably create a value that AI cannot replicate.

Of course, I’m grateful for AI when it takes over the tasks I’d rather not do. What kind of era will we inhabit once we are truly liberated from labor? I imagine a future where, more than ever, we are respected as human beings simply for existing. In a time rife with dystopia and cynicism, I chose to paint a more idealistic picture. (Haha.)

While I’ve started with these emotional reflections today, moving forward, I intend to fiercely document the systems I build at the intersection of business and technology. Anything that strikes a chord with my heart will find its home here.

회사 안팎에 상관없이 AI가 가장 화두인 시대에 살고 있습니다. 무한한 가능성보다 많은 사람들이 자신의 직업이 사라질까 두려워 합니다. 러다이트 운동이 일어난 산업혁명보다 더 급진적이고 공격적인 변화이니, 사람들이 이만치 두려워하는 게 오히려 양반으로 보일 정도입니다. 직업은 생계와 직결되는 문제니까요.

하지만 아이언맨이 차별화된 가치를 세상에 만들 수 있었던 이유는 로봇과 달리 토니스타크라는 실제 인간과의 결합이기 때문이라고 생각합니다. 그래서 토니스타크에게 심장이 있다는 증거를 첫 글 이미지로 정했습니다.

우리에겐 심장, 따뜻한 마음이 있습니다. 삶의 유한함과 불안정한 감정을 견뎌내는 인간의 특성이 AI와는 다른 가치를 창출할 수 밖에 없다고 생각합니다.

하기 싫은 일 대신 해주는 AI가 고맙기도 해요. 노동에서 해방된 사람들은 어떤 시대를 새로 살게 될까요? 그 어느 때보다 존재만으로 인간으로 존중 받을 수 있는 시대가 오지 않을까 상상도 해봅니다. 디스토피아, 염세주의가 팽배한 시기라 이상적인 상상을 한번 그려봤습니다. 하하.

오늘은 감성적인 글로 시작했지만, 앞으로는 치열하게 비즈니스와 기술 사이에서 제가 어떤 시스템을 빌딩하는지 그 기록을 남기고자 합니다. 무엇이든 제 심장에 콕 들어오는 내용이 있다면 여기에 다 모아보려구요.
